Taking a minute to breathe!

Never ever  did I imagine myself having SUCH a busy summer. Things started off pretty slowly until May 15th, when I went out on a limb and interviewed with Noble House Hotels and Resorts. I assumed I would once again join Nordstrom this summer, but considering this job was in the hospitality field (my minor) within their communication department (my major), I knew I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Everything DEFINITELY happens for a reason, because they offered me the job the very next day! Leaving my comfort zone of working sales and retail, as well as my amazing friends at Nordstrom in Bellevue, was a tough choice – but there’s a time for everyone to grow up, right? My job takes place at the Noble House Corporate Office in Kirkland. It is SUCH a beautiful office to work in as well. Since it is a luxury company, the office is designed in the same upscale taste as well. Here is a few shots from the office I work at:

When I am not working, I am working out! Getting fit is easy – staying fit is the hard part. After losing over 40 pounds (!), I cancelled my Weight Watchers membership and will be eating healthy and sweating my butt off in the gym to lose the remaining 25 pounds.

Annnd when I am not working out? Seafair!

I had my second meeting with the Seafair Princesses yesterday. The board members and the current Miss Seafair attended as well. All the girls got their photo taken outside the office, and the pictures will be published in the official SPFW (Scholarship Program For Women) program that will be distributed at the TORCHLIGHT PARADE. It is so crazy to know that at the end of July, I will be one of the  Seafair Princesses riding along in the Torchlight Parade, behind who ever is crowned Miss Seafair.

During the meeting, I met more of the girls. I learned that most of them were older than I am, and will probably have a lot more experience because of that. Honestly, I know I have about thiiiiiis much chance of being crowned – but I don’t even care! I am just so so so SO excited to be apart of this and can’t believe how lucky I am to do this program this summer. We will do parades and interviews with Kiro 7, and even if you don’t win, they’re handing out $20,000 (!!!!!!!!!!!) of scholarship money among all the princesses.

I will be attending Admiral’s Tea with the Admiral of the Coast Guard (I’m pretty sure that’s the military branch), and all the princesses and Miss Seafair. So so so sooo excited and can’t wait to post pictures!
