The BIG day – our first judged event! I was racked with nerves and had some crummy personal issues pop up, I even burst into tears at one point. BUT – I knew I needed to put all my focus and energy to something productive, and so I did. I was the third person to go, and I walked in and OUT with a huge smile on my face.

I was asked questions about who inspires me, Seafair, and education. I answered every question from the heart and that made delivering the answers pretty easy. All of the other girls felt great about how they did too! Public speaking is worth 10% of the judging score and rightfully so as the first judged event. Lots of luck to everyone as we move forward to bigger events!
