Wrap Up Blog Post

My favorite project during the semester was working with Adobe Illustrator. For my entire life, I have been a consumer, and as such I see plenty of logos. I feel that logos are an integral part of our society and have immense impact on all people. It was incredibly powerful to be able to learn the skills to create logos on my own, simply because of the power that they have. Furthermore, learning about the logo design process and the elements of a good logo was very beneficial and something I will use personally and professionally for the rest of my life.

Besides logo design as noted above, there are many skills I have learned throughout this course that I intend to use in the future. Personally, I plan to continue using Photoshop and Illustrator for my photo design and media creation. It has always been a passion of mine and it is something I plan to continue. Professionally, I see myself implementing my new skills learned in Adobe Audition as well as Adobe Premiere. As a future communication professional, these will be imperative to my success as a competitor in the market of job seekers in the communication industry.

This class played a massive part of shaping my goals and aspirations during my final year of college at Washington State University. During the latter part of the course, I decided to turn my course blog into my own professional website. This led to my receiving an unpaid job of filming an up and coming hip hop star named Jevy, who actually graduate from WSU. That experience led me to have a passion for the performing arts and the media/communication aspect that is involved in that whole process. I know now that is something I want to be a part of in my future as a communication professional.
