Walmart brought the holidays to Pullman a little early this year. The retailer cleared out shelves in at least two isles to put some of their holiday items on display for sale. While only a select few amount of holiday items made it to the shelves in October, it begs the question of how soon is “too soon.”

Some of the Halloween items didn’t even make it to the last week of October before their prices were slashed in order to make room for even more holiday goodies. Popular glitter-style pumpkins and a few costumes were among the items to be reduced in price for quick sale.

It is always sad to see fun Halloween products come and go so quickly, but the new products on seasonal shelves at Walmart are enough of a tease to keep consumers excited about the upcoming holiday season. Some of the early items to be displayed are wrapping paper, gift bags, and greeting cards. Some of the new wrapping paper seems to cater to the Pinterest crowd (20-something women obsessed with cooking, cleaning, and working out for non-users). A cheetah and gold print paper struck my eye as I captured shots of the pre-mature holiday goodies.
